Halle Berry and her ex-husband, Oscar Martinez, have agreed to go through “co-parenting therapy” to help them properly manage their nine-year-old son, Maceo Robert Martinez.
According to documents obtained by People Magazine, Maceo’s parents will undergo “co-parenting therapy” with a coach to “resolve disputes and conflicts between them in an effort to successfully co-parent”. The couple will first have individual sessions with the coach. They will thereafter attend at least six combined sessions.

Berry’s 54-year-old partner, Van Hunt, will also be able to attend the joint sessions. The coach will decide whether Berry and Martinez should have further practices after their last one.
Berry and Martinez’s divorce was formalized in August 2023, over eight years later.
According to their divorce and custody arrangement, the Moonfall actress was ordered to pay Martinez $8,000 per month in child support, plus 4.3 percent of all income over $2 million. The actress was also ordered to pay for Maceo’s educational expenditures, extracurricular activities, and health insurance.
Berry is also the mother of Nahla Ariela, a 16-year-old daughter she has with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
Berry said in 2021 that her current relationship has helped her become a better parent. In her cover interview with Women’s Health, she stated, “I just feel fulfilled.” “I am happy in my life romantically, as a mother, and as an artist,” she remarked about her relationship with Hunt. I am a better mother in this situation than in a failed love relationship, which did not fulfill my needs as a woman.

“With a sorrowful heart, we have decided to split,” they told PEOPLE.. “We move on with mutual love and respect, as well as a shared goal of doing what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but success in life, and we ask that you respect our and, more importantly, our children’s privacy during this difficult time.”
Berry has a 16-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, with whom she separated in 2010.
In 2021, the actress spoke with Women’s Health for their December cover story, revealing that her relationship with partner Van Hunt was impacting her position as a mother.
“I simply feel fulfilled. “I am happy in my life romantically, as a mother, and as an artist,” she remarked about her relationship with Hunt. “”I’m a far better mother in this situation than I would have been if I stayed in an affair that didn’t benefit me or make me feel the way I need to feel as a woman.”
I’m reminded that we must constantly prioritize self-care, because I can’t be a good mother to my children if I’m not fundamentally happy and confident in myself,” she added.
