Former NBA great Gilbert Arenas was a pleased father as he saw his daughter, Izela Arenas, graduate from high school on Saturday, June 2.
Following the graduation, the devoted father took to Instagram to share images from the event.
Gilbert has Izela and her siblings with ex-girlfriend Laura Govan, who has also expressed her pride on Instagram. She wrote, “At The Blink Of An Eye…” High school is officially over… Moving on to the Next Chapter University of Louisville. It’s taken me some time to put words together. (Crying) Days, months, and years have passed, and I never wanted this day to come, yet time stops for no. “It just happened so quickly.”
Govan continued, saying, “I want to do it all over again. You think it’s hard that you’re leaving? Imagine me letting you go. I want to keep you in my arms forever and never let go. But I’m also excited for what comes next in your new journey on this ride called life! (LifeBLifing) The best part for you is that God has blessed you with me as your mother, who will always have your back, front, sides, top, and bottom. The Ups, Downs, and Everything in Between! ”

Arenas, best known for his spectacular 12-year NBA career, which included three All-Star appearances with the Washington Wizards from 2004 to 2007, now celebrates his children’s accomplishments.
He and Laura Govan are proud parents of four children: Alijah, Aloni, Hamiley, and Izela Arenas.
